Flammable plants don't belong within thirty feet or ten meters of
your house no matter how much you like the way they look. You'll notice that
most of them are trees. Trees are more worrisome than lower growing species
because they carry flames higher and are therefore more dangerous to your home.
The Fire Department in Park City, Utah provided much of this list. We've added acouple of plants based on our experience. It's a good list for communities in the Rocky Mountains. Outside that area your own fire department will likely have an appropriate list. If you email it to us (with their permission), we'll be happy to add it to this site so others can use it.
